Yesterday Gian Luca Rana, CEO of Giovanni Rana Group and President of Athesis (one of the largest Italian publishing groups), welcomed the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella in “L’Arena”, Verona’s most prestigious newspaper.
The very first Italian flag was put on display for the occasion, first flown in 1866 Verona after the escape of Austrian troops. The historic “L’Arena” newspaper, now 150 years old, was founded that same year.
The President of the Italian Republic wanted to pay tribute to the Italian flag as a symbol of the unity and the strength of the Italian country.
President Mattarella praised entrepreneurs like Gian Luca Rana, who support the freedom of information and promote Italy’s quality of work and creativity, spreading the “Made in Italy” around the world.
